Three people were taken into custody after abandoning a vehicle at the end of a pursuit in Downey.
The driver and a passenger got out of the vehicle and ran into the parking lot of a strip mall on Imperial Highway and Downey Avenue.
The pursuit began in El Monte after authorities ran the license plate of the vehicle and it came back having been involved in a felony crime. The individuals inside the vehicle were wanted for a possible armed robbery.
The driver of the vehicle led police through multiple parts of Southern California on several freeways and streets.
