A driver was taken into custody after leading police on a pursuit through the Ontario, downtown LA and East LA areas Sunday night.
The driver of a red SUV was seen without headlights on and driving through residential streets, nearly crashing into several vehicles.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and ran into some nearby homes as the vehicle continued rolling away slowly.
The California Highway Patrol searched the area and finally took the driver into custody in East LA.

The pursuit came to an end at Eastern Avenue and Dozier Street in East LA.
Details about the driver's identity were not immediately available.
