After a five-hour hunt Thursday night, the second of two suspects who robbed a bank inside a Stater Bros. supermarket in the city of Placentia was apprehended.

The pursuit was initiated after two male suspects, who FBI investigators believe to be the "Market Duo" bandits, held up a Wells Fargo branch inside the supermarket at 1111 Imperial Highway at 2:15 p.m.

A brief pursuit ensued on the 5 Freeway and ended in Paramount, when the suspects' vehicle came to a stop in the 8100 block of Century Boulevard.

Woman in custody after fatal stabbing in Pasadena

One of the suspects was shot by a sheriff's deputy  who was brought into the chase, said Deputy Benjamin Grubb of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

Authorities set up a perimeter to search the area for the second suspect, who was taken into custody just before 7:45 p.m., sheriff's officials said.

During the search, deputies were aided by air units and canines on the ground to locate the second suspect.
