President Barack Obama's Visit: Traffic, Alternates, Maps

A look at when and where traffic might be affected by President Barack Obama's Thursday visit

Access to residential neighborhoods south of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City near the Fryman Canyon area will be closed off Thursday night because of President Barack Obama's fundraiser at the home of actor George Clooney.

Opinion: "Starmageddon: Obama Could Make Us Hate Clooney"

What: Closures near Clooney's home might lead to traffic delays along Ventura Boiulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

When: Air Force One touched down at LAX shortly before its scheduled 6:30 p.m. landing. The president boarded Marine One and was in the air again by 6:30 p.m. He will travel by helicopter and motorcade to Clooney's home.

Delays and road closures from about 5 to 8 p.m. are possible on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and connecting streets north of Ventura Boulevard.

Fryman Canyon neighborhood street closures will begin at about 8 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. Neighborhood residents will be required to show photo identification before entering.

Alternates: Southbound alternates include Coldwater Canyon Avenue or Cahuenga to Highland. Ventura Boulevard alternates include Moorpark and Riverside. Note: The motorcade's route is not released.
