Near-Record Heat Sweeps the Southland

Temperatures in the Inland Empire are expected to rise into the 90s

High temperatures could break records Wednesday, as the Southland is experiencing some of the hottest temperature ratings in the nation this week.

Inland Empire temperatures were predicted to reach 90 degrees by noon.

“Typically this time of year, those records are in the mid-to-upper 80s,” NBC4’s Elita Loresca said.

Temperatures in the valleys will rise into the upper 80s, with a high of 89 degrees in Ontario and 86 degrees in Pasadena.

Hot weather will also hit downtown Los Angeles and the metro region as temperatures reach the low 80s.

Dense fog and cool temperatures covered the coast this coast this morning, but the sun is expected to break through and bring mid-to-upper 60-degree weather Wednesday afternoon.
