Police Seek Man, Dog Missing From Redondo Beach

Police searching for a 61-year-old man who went missing in Redondo Beach last month with one of his sister's dogs are hoping that someone will spot him and alert investigators.

Jeffrey Arild Keidser hasn't been seen since Jan. 23.

About 8:15 that morning, his sister dropped her two dogs off at his home in the 700 block of Avenue C. He had agreed to bring the dogs to his sister's home in Torrance the following day, but never showed up, according to Redondo Beach police Sgt. Mark Valdivia.

Family members went to Keidser's residence and found one of the dogs and Keidser's cellphone on a counter, but he was nowhere to be found, the sergeant said.

"Jeffrey is believed to have the other dog, Frankie,'' Valdivia said.

Officers checked Keidser's home and found no evidence of foul play, he said. A neighbor told police they saw him about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 23, Valdivia said.

Family members believe that Keidser is driving a silver 2004 Saturn L3 sedan, California license plate number 6PCD694.
