Public Help Sought to Find Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman in Riverside

Police sought the public's help Friday to identify a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Riverside, officials said.

A woman told police she was sexually assaulted on Thursday at 9 a.m. near Tequesquite Avenue, a popular place for people to park their cars near a hiking area, said Ryan J. Railsback, a Riverside Police Department spokesman.

The woman was not seriously hurt.

Her attacker was described as a man in his 30s, police said in a news release. He was described as 5 foot 10 and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
