2 Hurt, 1 Dead in San Gabriel Stabbing

Three people, including two sisters, were stabbed -- one of them fatally -- in unincorporated San Gabriel on Wednesday.

A woman in her 40s was found stabbed to death in the 5500 block of Walnut Grove Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Her name was not released. She was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso.

The woman's sister, in her 40s, was also stabbed. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, according to authorities. She was later released Wednesday.

The two sisters were employees of E! Entertainment Television, which is owned by NBC Universal. The husband of the slain woman is a current E! employee.

He was found in front of the home suffering from stab wounds. He is in critical but stable condition. Investigators said he's being labeled as a person of interest.

He was estranged from his wife, according to the sheriff's department.
