Convicted Man Molested Young Relative, Went on the Run for Years: Prosecutors

Greg Adrian, 44, was sentenced to 25 years to life for a count of lewd act upon a child, the same count on which he served three years in prison two decades ago

A man who served three years in state prison for molesting a young relative almost two decades ago was sentenced Thursday for molesting another relative who was 12 years old at the time, prosecutors said.

Greg Adrian, 44, was sentenced to 25 years to life for a count of lewd act upon a child, for which he pleaded no contest, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Adrian had been on the run since November 2007, after a 12-year-old family member told her teacher Adrian sexually abused her since she was in kindergarten, according to the release.

Authorities finally found Adrian in Flagstaff, Arizona in August 2013.

He was originally sentenced on the same count in 1996, for molesting a 6-year-old relative. He served three years in state prison before being released, said Sarah Ardalani, spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.

Adrian registered as a sex offender after his release but did not register while on the run, she said.
