Authorities Identify Disoriented Man Found at a McDonald's

The man has been identified as "Miguel," and was taken to the hospital after a medical emergency.

Tips from the public helped authorities learn the identity of a disoriented man who had been hospitalized since December, the sheriff's department reported Wednesday.

The man suffered a medical emergency at a fast-food restaurant in the 3100 block of South Hacienda Boulevard in Hacienda Heights on Dec. 14 and was taken to a hospital, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

He had no identification, was disoriented and could not answer questions, according to a sheriff's department statement.

Deputies circulated photos of the man, who had been described as Hispanic and about 50 years old.

The sheriff's department announced this afternoon that "several tips and leads" helped detectives identify the man, whose family has been notified of his whereabouts.
