Sick Girl Who Loves Christmas Cards Is Collecting Them by the Truckload

A Utah girl coping with a life-threatening illness hopes that you can add one more Christmas card to your list this year.

Addie Fausett, 6, likes to count the Christmas cards she pins on her door, especially given what she's going through. The girl from of Fountain Green, Utah, has an undiagnosed condition causing her brain to atrophy, her mother told KSL5.

Her deterioriating brain has left her unable to play with kids and weighing just 23 pounds, Tami Fausett told the Utah TV station.

"We thought if everyone would send her a card, we could tell all her friends it would make her Christmas a little bit better," Fausett said.

Since this is likely Addie's last Christmas, her two older sisters and the rest of their family have been asking that people send her a Christmas card. They've received help spreading the word from Utah's Children of the Earth family assistance foundation, which is also collecting donations for Addie.

She's already received entire truckloads of cards, according to her Facebook page.

If you would like to send Addie a card, you can mail it to Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632.
