Smoke From Large Mulch Fire Spreads Over Ontario Area

The early morning fire burned for hours and sent smoke over a widespread part of the Inland Empire.

Thick smoke from a mulch fire burning Thursday morning in Ontario drifted for miles over Inland Empire communities. 

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. near Euclid and Chino avenues. Firefighters responded to the location, where winds gusted up to 29 mph early Thursday.

No injuries have been reported. No buildings are threatened. 

Details about how the fire started were not immediately available.
