A man who led police on a pursuit Tuesday was arrested without incident after a standoff with police in a Downey driveway.
The driver was wanted in a narcotics investigation. He took off from Bandini Boulevard onto the Golden State (5) Freeway near Commerce before pulling into a cul-de-sac, ending the pursuit.
At one point, police spun out the SUV, but the driver turned back around and drove off through a residential street.
Offramps for the San Gabriel (605) Freeway at Telegraph Road were closed due to the standoff.
