Motorcycle chase in Pasadena ends in a Chinatown parking structure

The motorcycle was recovered, but the driver was not in custody Wednesday afternoon.

A possible stolen motorcycle was recovered Wednesday following a chase in the Burbank and Pasadena areas that ended up in Los Angeles' Chinatown.

The incident began near Burbank and Glendale at around noon, according to Glendale police. The driver was seen traveling on the 210 Freeway through Pasadena, then Glendale until it reached Chinatown.

Officers eventually backed off the chase and tracked the rider from a law enforcement helicopter. The rider was seen running red lights, riding on the wrong side of roads and cutting off vehicles.

At around 1 p.m., he went into an underground parking structure of a large apartment complex near Figueroa Street and Sunset Boulevard in Chinatown.

Several patrol vehicles were seen by the building, as officers began a search. The motorcycle was recovered, but the rider was not in custody Wednesday afternoon.
