Authorities were in pursuit of a driver in a suspected stolen truck in the Santa Clarita Valley Thursday night.
The pursuit headed northbound on the 5 Freeway through the Santa Clarita area at about 11 p.m. and continued toward Castaic.
The pursuit at times reached speeds of up to 100 mph.

Officers spotted the truck near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Sheldon Street about 10:55 p.m. Thursday and the driver fled, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
About 11:10 p.m., police turned over the pursuit to the California Highway Patrol, which added the pursuit entered Kern County, but could not confirm if an arrest had been made.
No further details were immediately known.
