An elementary school was locked down Tuesday after the driver of a stolen car being chased by police crashed on an East Los Angeles freeway and ran away.
Humphrey Elementary School was locked down Tuesday morning after the pursuit ended nearby on the Long Beach (710) Freeway south of the Pomona (60) Freeway, officials said.
The driver ran off on Sixth Street.
