Flight 2534 was 20 miles out en route to Bob Hope airport with 85 passengers on board. A cockpit alarm alerted the pilots that the plane was on a collision course with another aircraft, an FAA spokesman told the Times.
According to the Times:
The Southwest pilot made an emergency descent and then climbed, causing one of the attendants to break her shoulder, Gregor said. The flight landed at Bob Hope without incident.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
