LA Zoo Springing Forward for Amphibians

LOS ANGELES -- In the spirit of daylight-saving time, the Los Angeles Zoo is hosting Springing Forward for Amphibians this weekend.

Designed to address the challenges that amphibians face, including habitat loss and degradation, this event will teach visitors about the wonderful world of amphibians. According to the zoo:

"During this special weekend event, guests can have a fun, educational time while learning all about frogs. Children can color and place a frog onto a lily pad in the 'Frog Bog' and learn about the steps of a frog's life cycle by playing the MetamorphaWhat? Game"

Spring Forward For Amphibians will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Griffith Park at the junction of the 134 and 5 freeways. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children (ages 2 to 12). The Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For information, call 323-644-4200 or visit www.lazoo.org.
