Canines competed in a quartet of categories: "Handler-launched division, in which dogs were launched by their handlers; Owner-Launched division, in which the dogs were launched by their owners in heats divided by size -- small, medium, large and extra-large (based on weight); a shredder division (pro-level) for the more seasoned surFURS and tandem categories for Dog-Dog and Dog-human as well as tandem stand up paddleboard (SUP) category."
