Starbucks has banned smoking within 25 feet of store entrances, including outdoor seating areas, company officials said.
"I think it's a good idea," said smoker Adrian Athens. "We should be more considerate to the people who don't smoke than the ones who do."
The ban doesn't apply to stores in Europe. It was unclear how the chain would enforce the rule at its about 7,000 company-owned stores in the U.S.
