Those appetizing indicators of a Southern California summertime can be seemingly slow to arise, even if we haven't yet reach spring and we feel a little demandy, in terms of wishing a few warm-weather pleasures would arrive.
Such pleasures, like outdoor movies, big festivals in big parks, and foodie to-dos that stretch into the eveningtime, are still a few months away, but there's something happening now: Dates are being announced, assuring fans that their favorite events aren't that far in the distance.
And one of the favorites, around our region, is surely the large-of-scale, fantastic-of-flavor 626 Night Market.
A tummy-pleasing paean to the delectable night markets of Asian, 626 Night Market has consistently delivered beverages and cuisine from a host of kitchen-creative purveyors since 2012.
Cuisine that is tangy, spicy, coconut-creamy, noodle-amazing, and everything you'd want out of an hour of supping at several booths.
Those food-filled, libation-luxe booths will return to Santa Anita Park, for four long weekends, beginning the weekend of July 5 through 7, 2019.

You won't have to wait too long for the one to follow, for that'll happen the next week, from July 12 through 14.
And rounding out the season? Look for 626 Night Market to pop up from Aug. 9 through 11 and again on Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.
Dates were also revealed for OC Night Market, at the OC Fair & Event Center. It's getting a springtime start, from May 17 through 19, with a weekend in mid-June and one from Aug. 23 through 25.
And if you're a NorCal Night Market fan, look for the delish goings-on to pop up at Alameda County Fair from May 24 through 26, July 26 through 28, and Sept. 20 through 22, a summer-ender of a sup-around bash.
Nope, summer isn't here. Goodness, spring isn't even here, but one of the most majorest of major foodie festivals is already laying the gourmet groundwork for its trio of snack-tastic festivals.
