The record temperatures that the Southland has experienced has given way to cooler weather .
It's expected to be mostly clear, although some areas experienced low clouds and fog late Tuesday night.
Lows on Wednesday are expected in the low 60s.
Highs on Wednesday are expected in the upper 60s to mid-70s at the beaches and in the upper 70s inland.
Some of the records broken Tuesday were at LAX, where it was 90 degrees, breaking the old record of 89 in 1987, and at downtown Los Angeles, where it was 95, breaking the 1997 record of 94.
