A tractor trailer rammed a two-story apartment building in Garden Grove Monday, sending one person to the hospital, Garden Grove police said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital, and the apartment building was evacuated.
The truck was coming off of the 22 Freeway when the accident occurred.
The apartment building is located in the 12000 block of Haster Street, right next to the off ramp.
Garden Grove police said the building's structure may be compromised.
The Garden Grove Police Department reported that 16 apartments were uninhabitable after the crash, either because of structural problems or because utilities were affected.
