Two Students Attacked With Screwdriver

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- A pair of Magnolia High School students were stabbed Friday by two assailants who came onto the campus, police said.

The attack -- at least one of the suspects was wielding a screwdriver -- happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the school in the 2500 block of West Ball Road. The attackers were not Magnolia High students, authorities said.

The students were taken to UCI Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds, said Anaheim police Officer Ed Stancavage.

Sgt. Rick Martinez said the school went into lockdown after the attack. The two attackers, who have gang affiliations, were detained, Martinez said.
