Police Investigate On-Campus Sex Assault at UCLA

A UCLA student was sexually assaulted after a party, university police said Tuesday.

The student told police she went to a house party in the 10900 block of Strathmore Avenue on Thursday.

She said she was going back to her room around 11 p.m., and was escorted by a man she did not know.

She told police she was sexually assaulted once getting back to her room in the 200 block of De Neve Drive.

She reported the assault to the UCLA Police Department on Saturday.

University police said investigators had good leads on the case, and were confident they would find the man.

They were looking into possible surveillance footage on campus that may lead to the suspected attacker.
