Ventura County will be shutting down its beaches ahead of the Fourth of July weekend, according to the county's health department.
Details on the closure were expected to be released Tuesday afternoon.
The announcement comes after Los Angeles County moved Monday to close all LA County beaches, piers, access points and bike paths July 3-6.
