A Ventura resident awoke to find a masked man touching her early Saturday morning, police said.
The intruder entered her home in the 1500 block of Echidna Place at 5:38 a.m. and began to touch the sleeping victim over her clothing, the Ventura Police Department said in news release.
When she woke up, the intruder ran out of the house, police said.
Responding officers searched the area but were unable to find him.
The intruder was described as about 6 feet tall, wearing a mask and dark clothing.
