Veteran Actor Involved in Accident With Pedestrians

Actor not cited, after police say pedestrians were jaywalking

Two pedestrians were struck by a station wagon  driven by actor Martin Ferrero on Cahuenga Boulevard in Universal City and  one of them was hospitalized, authorities said today.

The pedestrians were both men. They were trying to cross Cahuenga mid- block at Regal Place when they "darted out'' in the path of a westbound  Volvo station wagon driven by Ferrero, Los Angeles police Officer Brandon  Tepper of the Valley Traffic Division said.
One of the men was hospitalized with head lacerations and a leg injury,  and he was in stable condition this morning, Tepper said.
The other pedestrian was treated at the scene for minor injuries, Tepper  said.

There was no crosswalk where the men tried to cross Cahuenga, Tepper  said. No one was cited or arrested, Tepper said. Ferrero, 62, appeared in the 1990s films "Jurassic Park,'' "Get  Shorty'' and "Gods and Monsters."
