Water Main Break Causes Flooding in South Los Angeles

A broken water main caused flooding in South Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

The gusher caused a sidewalk-to-sidewalk flood at the on 69th Street at around 1:30 a.m.

Some parts of the flooding went over the sidewalk, and the main break caused the street to buckle.

LADWP workers attended  the scene to tackle the problem, and shut down the  water flow at around 2:10 AM.

It is currently unknown how many residents have been left without water, or when service will be restored.

DWP has also closed the street both East and Westbound due to serious street damage from the break.
