Westbound 10 Freeway Lanes Closed in Redlands for Shooting Investigation

Lanes on the westbound 10 Freeway were closed Thursday in Redlands for a shooting investigation.

A caller at a service station reported that shots were fired through the door of his vehicle as he was driving on the freeway early Thursday. Police received the report at about 3 a.m.

The victim was in critical condition and underwent surgery Thursday morning at Loma Linda University Medical Center. No vehicle description was available, according to police.

Westbound traffic was diverted to the 210 Freeway for about 45 minutes early Thursday. Lanes remained closed between Alabama and California streets late Thursday morning.
