Pasadena schools will be closed again on Friday.

With more high winds forecast and the electricity still out in many parts of the region, some schools say they will close for a second day.

The Pasadena Unified School District, which closed all of its campuses on Thursday, said classes would be canceled again on Friday.

In Alhambra, officials said elementary school students were already scheduled for a day off Dec. 2. District officials said parents of middle- and high school students should expect to send their children to school unless they receive a phone call telling them otherwise, or hear media reports announcing a closure.

Several school districts urged parents to check their websites and look out for automated phone calls as they try to figure out whether classes will be on or off for Friday.
