San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a woman they think helped rob a World War II veteran and his wife while posing as a Southern California Edison subcontractor.
In February, a woman who identified herself as "Mary" came to the 5800 block of Sycamore Avenue in an unincorporated area near Rialto, reports The Sun. She told the resident, Margaret Clarke, she worked with an SCE subcontractor and needed to inspect tree-trimming work done in the woman's back yard.
She led Clarke to the back yard and while they chatted, an accomplice went into the house and stole a small safe full of valuables.

Among the items taken were jewelry, and some World War Two memorabilia including a German pistol and Clarke's husband's war medals, and other items with great sentimental value.
"There was a watch that had been in the family way way over a hundred years," states Margaret Clarke, burglary victim.
On Wednesday the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department released a composite sketch of the suspect.
Clarke and her husband are offering a reward they hope will help get their stolen property back.
