Loyal Apple Fans Line Up Overnight in Pasadena to Purchase iPhone X

Friday was a big day to be an Apple fan as the iPhone X was finally released at stores worldwide. Loyal fans lined up overnight at numerous Apple stores and the Pasadena location was no exception.

Wrapped in blankets, covered in coats and prepped with takeout, fanatics formed a line and had their wallets ready to spend a whopping $999 for the latest addition to the Apple iPhone family. One of the first people in line at the Pasadena Apple store nearly missed out after dozing off as the store opened, losing his spot when team members taking reservations passed by him.

With help from his mom, he got his new phone after she discussed the matter with employees.

The new phone boasts facial recognition technology to unlock the device, upgrades to its cameras and speakers and a richer display. In a step to be more interactive, the tech-giant announced it will implement a new technology, "animoji," that allows the user to control emojis with their facial expressions.

While the second-to-last iPhone release startled the world with the announcement that there will no longer be a headphone jack, Apple continues to minimize their iconic cell phone by ditching the home button in the latest installment.

The iPhone X was announced on the 10th anniversary of the iPhone in September and was dubbed "the biggest leap forward" since the original by Apple CEO Tim Cook.
