Man Accused of Trying to Take Photo Up Woman's Dress at Riverside Store

The woman was shopping with her young children at the time, police said

Riverside police are looking for a man accused of trying to take pictures up a woman's dress at a popular store.

The alleged incident occurred May 20 around 1 p.m. at a Target store on the 2700 block of Canyon Springs Parkway as the woman was shopping with her young children, the Riverside Police Department said.

The woman, who did not wish to be identified, said a witness told a store manager that the suspect pretended to tie his shoe and pointed a pen-like device up her dress. The manager later alerted the woman of what had happened, she said.

"Why would you want to do that?" she said. "Why would you want to violate a young woman with her kids? It's just such a demeaning thing."

The suspect is described as white, between 30 and 35 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and having short black hair and "light" facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark shorts and glasses, the Riverside Police Department said.
