Man Arrested for Attempted Murder, Pimping, Robbery

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of pimping, robbery and attempted murder in connection with an incident last week in which he allegedly armed himself and chased a partially nude woman down the street, Anaheim police said Saturday.

On Sept. 17, officers were called to the 1400 block of South Manchester Avenue regarding a partially nude woman being chased by a man with a handgun. The 21- year-old woman told them that Tustin resident Deandre Henderson and a woman entered her motel room and began assaulting her, said Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

"During the assault, Henderson is alleged to have threatened the victim's life," Wyatt said. "The investigation revealed the motive for the assault was Henderson's involvement in the pimping of a second female victim. The second victim, a 19-year-old female, was identified and rescued."

Authorities later located Henderson on Thursday at his mother's home in the 13000 block of Myford Road in Tustin, he said.

"Henderson refused to exit the residence for over an hour, but eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without incident," he said.

Henderson was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail at the Orange County Jail, and the unidentified woman was still outstanding.
