Man Arrested With Stolen Pizzas, Fake Gun in Possession

The man arrested is suspected of three other similar crimes within the past week

A 38-year-old man was arrested in possession of stolen pizzas, money and a fake gun after he allegedly robbed a pizza deliveryman in Los Angeles County on Thursday.

Deputies responded around 2:30 p.m. to reports of an armed robbery in the 8400 block of Bradwell Avenue in unincorporated Whittier, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A deliveryman told authorities he was delivering pizzas when he was approached by a man who allegedly demanded all of his property at gunpoint, officials said. The deliveryman complied with the demands and the robber ran away, authorities said.

After a search of the area, authorities detained a 38-year-old Pico Rivera man at a convenience store less than a mile away. The man was allegedly found with the victim’s property and pizzas.

The man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and booked into jail. Deputies said the man is believed to be responsible for three other similar robberies in the same area within the last week.
