Multiple vehicles were charred early Friday after a carport in an Inglewood apartment complex caught flames in an arson attack, according to Los Angeles County Fire Investigator Raul Ramirez.
Fire crews received a call at 2:45 a.m. of a car on fire in the 10200 block of Doty Avenue. Upon arrival, officials found multiple cars on fire under the apartment’s carport.
Five cars and one motorcycle were damaged or destroyed in the attack, Ramirez said. Investigators are working to determine what kind of accelerant was used in the fire.
Flames extended to the building, but none of the 20 residents in the complex were displaced.
