A man who was found shot to death inside a pickup truck parked in an Elysian Valley neighborhood Monday may have taken his own life, police said.
Los Angeles police officers responding to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon made the discovery about 4:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of Blake Avenue. The man, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dodge pickup’s driver side window was shattered and appeared to have a bullet hole.
No further information was available.
