Police were searching Friday night for the person who fatally stabbed a man at a Whittier meat market, officials said.

The stabbing happened about 7:19 p.m. in the 11000 block of Carmenita Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The attack was inside the El Toro Loco Carniceria meat shop, according to a news photographer at the scene.
Deputies responded to the shop after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon when they found the victim lying on the curb with a stab wound, officials said.
The victim, only described as a Hispanic man, was transported and died at a hospital, officials said.
The attacker was still being sought by police. No description was available.
