Man's Body Found in Surfline at El Segundo Beach

No friends or family members were at the beach at the time when the body was found.

A man’s body was found floating near the surfline at an El Segundo beach Sunday, Los Angeles County lifeguards said.

The body was found just north of tower 45 in Manhattan Beach, which borders El Segundo.

Lifeguards and LA County firefighters retrieved the man, and he was pronounced dead at 4:17 p.m., LA County Lifeguard spokesman Spencer Park said.

There were no witnesses, and no missing persons reported by the beach.

No friends or family members were at the beach at the time when the body was found.

El Segundo police said no one matching the description of the man found was reported missing in neighboring cities.

No other information was available.
