Police in Las Vegas are looking for an assailant who they say struck and killed a 45-year-old California father of five with a single punch during a brief confrontation on a downtown entertainment district sidewalk.
Officer Jacinto Rivera said Friday that investigators are trying to identify a man seen on police security video walking and then running away with another man following the attack early Sunday on Fremont Street.
The Clark County coroner says Luis Campos of La Puente, California, died Thursday at a Las Vegas hospital. He was out celebrating his brother's upcoming marriage and was expected to be the best man at the wedding.
Campos' brother, Drake Garibay, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal they were standing in line outside a club when the attacker stopped while walking past on the sidewalk, asked what Campos was looking at, and punched him.

Garibay said his brother never regained consciousness.
Joyce Garibay, Campos' mother, said her eldest son was the definition of a "momma's boy." The two shared a special bond.
"I lost my best friend," she told NBC4. "I'm not going to blame God, but why did he have to take my son?"
Campos' brother Drake Garibay said the punch was unprovoked and out of nowhere.
"Two gentleman approached my brother and said something to the effect of, 'What's your problem?'," he said.
"I just sat there with my brother, with his limp head in my hand...I just didn't want him to rest on the hard floor."
Police are now searching for the two men the surveillance video.
"Why? Are you happy you murdered my son? Why would you do that to an innocent man, who couldn't go home to his family?" Joyce Garibay said.
