Mother-Daughter Duo Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary

The duo allegedly stole jewelry and other items from a Hacienda Heights home before neighbors reported them

A mother and her daughter were arrested on suspicion of burglary after neighbors of the Hacienda Heights residence saw the crime happening and reported it to deputies Saturday morning, authorities said.

Neighbors of the residence in the 1500 block of Flamsted Avenue reported a possible burglary to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, providing a detailed description of two people, their vehicle and a license plate number. Authorities tracked the vehicle's license plate registration to a home in the 1100 block of North Gordon Street in Pomona, where police later found the vehicle and Deana Stanley, 48, and her daughter Maria Tucker, 30.

Stanley and Tucker were taken into custody and jewelry other items taken during the burglary were found in their vehicle and residence, along with a handgun.

Stanley and Tucker were booked on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy to commit burglary. Tucker is also facing charges for possession of counterfeit credit/access cards.

Details regarding court dates were not immediately available.
