Boy Praised For Turning in Meth-Smoking Parents

A Pennsylvania couple is facing drug charges after their 10-year-old son turned them in Sunday, according to NBC affiliate WGAL.

Police say the boy called 911 while his parents were away after he found drug syringes in their home.

Authorities found eight syringes, four packets of heroin, a crack cocaine pipe, and other drug-related items.

The boy's parents, 27-year-old Lakin Stoppard and 26-year-old Anthony Young, were arrested and charged with possession of drug and child endangerment.

Concerned parents say the boy was brave for what he did.

"Can you imagine what he was going through in order to turn your own parents in? He must have been living in horrific conditions," Holly Garner says.
