Man Sets Woman On Fire, Fatally Beats Another: Police

Police in Miami-Dade have arrested a man accused of brutally murdering two women.

Kerry Rossin, 27, allegedly burned one woman to death and fatally beat and choked the other, officers said. The incident occurred early Monday morning on the 7700 block of NW 8th Court.

Investigators say the tragic incident began when Rossin got into a violent dispute with one of the victims. The argument escalated and Rossin started beating and stabbing the woman until she was unconscious, officers said.

Rossin then fled the scene where he encountered another woman, officers said. He choked her and struck her in the head with a stick until she was lifeless.

The suspect then returned to the original scene, where he doused the first victim’s body in lighter fluid.

Police say Rossin confessed to his involvement in both deaths. He was arrested and is facing 2nd-degree murder charges.

The victims were identified as Lourdes Quinones, 33, and Kristin Gooch, 36.

Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS or 866-471-8477.
