Just days after leaving the hospital following a July 4th accident that cost him his left arm, Kendrick Norton now officially knows he will not spend the 2019 season as a member of the Miami Dolphins.
The team placed Norton on their reserved/non-football injury list Sunday, ending his season as the team prepares for the start of training camp this week.
The NFL said it would pay Norton’s medical bills stemming from the accident along the Dolphin Expressway, when the truck Norton was driving collided with another vehicle near the intersection of the Palmetto Expressway.
Crews amputated his arm before rushing Norton to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he spent two weeks recovering before he was released.
The Jacksonville native spent three seasons playing for the Miami Hurricanes before being drafted in 2018 by the Carolina Panthers. He signed with the Dolphins at the end of last season.
