A Santa Fe police officer was credited for helping pull an 87-year-old woman out of a burning car and putting out the fire, according to NBC4 affiliate KOB.com.
The woman had been driving on a flat tire when the Officer Jimmy Madison spotted and helped her out. She suffered smoke inhalation, but otherwise was not hurt.
He put out the fire and retrieved the woman's cane.
