A man appears to have been shot on a subway platform in Queens, the second such shooting in six weeks, according to the NYPD's preliminary investigation.

Police and emergency crews raced to the 75th Avenue station in response to a report of a man shot on the platform of the E and F train around noon.

The FDNY didn't say where exactly the man was wounded, but according to the MTA, he was found on the platform.

The NYPD was still trying to confirm where he was shot, but told News 4 the preliminary investigation indicated that it did happen on the subway platform. Police tweeted that people should avoid the area as they investigated a reported assault.

The victim was rushed to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

No arrests have been made in connection to the incident. Police on the scene were searching for two men that feld the scene one of the wearing a white hoodie and blue sweats.

The MTA implemented service changes in the area, with trains bypassing the 75th Avenue station in both directions as authorities investigated. Riders were advised to expect some delays.

Last month, another man was shot to death on a different subway platform in Queens, on the elevated 7 train platform at 90th Street-Elmhurst Avenue. Two young men face murder and other charges in what cops have described as a gang-related case.
