Miami Beach Police Officer Rescues Brothers Off Capsized Boat

The Miami Beach Police Department released body camera rescue footage of three people from the water after a boat capsized on Sunday.

The rescuing officer was Thomas Fleischhauer, a member of the Miami Beach PD's marine unit, and the three stranded men were brothers, including boat owner Michael Morales, per the Sun Sentinel.

In the video, the officer opens the door to his boat and helps rescue all three men.

Notably, one of the three men struggles to get onboard the rescue vessel due to luggage he's decided was too valuable to discard. Another brother insists on saving his fishing rod.

While the brothers may not have been feeling lucky about the capsized boat, they should count their blessings at encountering the officer, as none of the three can be seen wearing life vests.
