"Sex and The City," "Californication" and "Swingtown" have all steamed up the small screen with on air threesomes – and next week, The CW's "Gossip Girl" will put its own spin on the menage a trois – but The Parents Television Council (PTC) is calling for CW affiliates to preempt the episode.
PTC President Tim Winter has written a letter to CW network president Dawn Ostroff and every CW affiliate asking that the November 9 episode of "Gossip Girl not air.

"To include a storyline like this on a program that is expressly targeted to impressionable teenagers is reckless and irresponsible. We are asking each CW Network affiliate to use their common sense and preempt this episode," Winter wrote in the letter obtained by AccessHollywood.com and first reported by TheWrap.com.
Protests or not, fans of the popular CW series are clamoring to find out who will end up participating in the "Gossip" group activity. And while the stars of the show are keeping hush hush on who exactly will be involved, Michelle Trachtenberg says it's something viewers aren't going to want to miss.

"[It's] worth waiting for," Michelle, who plays "Gossip Girl" troublemaker Georgina Sparks, told MTV News earlier this month.
Threesomes seem to be a popular theme this fall – even Britney Spears' latest #1 hit single, "3," is addressing the topic.
