Adrien Brody Spending “Midnight in Paris” With Woody Allen

Adrien Brody is the latest to join the cast of Woody Allen's upcoming "Midnight in Paris," a film already so packed with big names that a first lady can only get a minor supporting role.

"Midnight in Paris," which already stars Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen and French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, will follow a family traveling through France on vacation. Included in the party is a young couple who are forced to rethink their lifestyle.

Wilson's character will find himself in the enviable position of being in a love triangle (this being Woody Allen, after all) with McAdams and Cotillard, while Brody' character has been described as "flashy" by The Hollywood Reporter.

Allen is currently at Cannes, where he premiered "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger," starring Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas, to mixed reviews.

Brody can next be seen in "Splice,"  in which he and Sarah Polly play a pair of bio-engineers who learn the hard way about the dangers of mixing human DNA with other lifeforms. That movie comes out June 4. On a related note, if you missed Brody in criminally overlooked "Brothers Bloom," add it to your Netflix cue.

"Midnight in Paris begins shooting this summer in France with an eye toward a 2011 release.
